He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Freiberg and Eleanor Dillman; his brother Dennis Freiberg; and his daughter Mary Cox. He is survived by: his brother Ronald Freiberg; his wife Mary Sue Freiberg; and his children, Kim Gronlie, Clayton Sword, Kris Freiberg, Kevin Freiberg and Toni Cox. He is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Olinger-Highland Mortuary (10201 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Ft. Logan National Cemetery (4400 W Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236).
