Joel S. Rutstein Obituary
We are sad to announce that on April 17, 2022, at the age of 81, Joel S. Rutstein (Fort Collins, Colorado), born in Burlington, Vermont passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his daughter Karin Rutstein (John Mullaney); his granddaughter Abigail; his daughter Pamela Rutstein; his grandchildren, Linden and Maya Potempa; and his brothers, A. David Rutstein (Amy) and James F. Rutstein (Jane).
After the flood of 1997, he led the recovery effort which included restoration of damaged books and the acquisition of collections donated from all over the country.
