He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Price; his significant other Mark Lee; his sister Lois Clay (Gary); and his nieces and nephews, Michael Clay (Ashley), Tammy Neel (Chris), Derek Clay (Shelly) and Brittany McDermott (Daniel).
He received recognition for his significant contributions to the state of Colorado community college system as 2015 Faculty of the Year.
