Herman Venekamp Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Venekamp of Fort Collins, Colorado, who passed away on August 23, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Venekamp and Ethel Venekamp (Smith); and his siblings, Ann Meyers, Dorothy Walters, Willis, Robert, Jack and Roger.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ann Heintz (Dakota Wesleyan); his grandchildren, Kurt and Kenna; his children, Kathy Davis (Jeff) of Rapid City, SD, Kurt Venekamp (Teresa) of Fort Collins, CO and Kenna Venekamp (Sarah) of Fort Collins, CO; his sister Esther Gerard of Kennebec, SD; and his sisters-in-law, Doris of Spearfish, SD and Rosemary of Yelm, WA. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in his name in the form of a scholarship at Dakota Wesleyan University.
