He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Joseph Oscar Thomson and Ruth Craft Thomson; and his siblings, Priscilla Thomson Jackson, Marjorie Thomson Saffell and Rev. Alan Craft Thomson.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Seely Thomson; his daughters, Barbara Thomson and Hilary Thomson; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Seely and Helen Seely Slaughter. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
