She was predeceased by: her brothers, Victor Van Wyhe and Galen Van Wyhe; and her parents, Henrietta Van Wyhe and Vernon Van Wyhe. She is survived by: her husband Dan Lawler; her children, Amanda Buenger (Jess) and Jonathan Woodward (Jessica); and her grandchildren, Addison, Ariella, Olivia, Brooke, Nick and Lainey.

Fern was someone who exuded generosity in the time she gave others, the talent she contributed as a therapist, and her financial contributions to so many different philanthropic organizations and individuals in need.
