It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Jankunas (Fort Collins, Colorado), born in Amsterdam, New York, who passed away on November 10, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Violet Svedarckas Jankunas and Benjamin J. Jankunas. She is survived by: her husband Dennis Duggan; her sister Christine Andrzejczyk (Karl) of Amsterdam, N. Y.; her son Michael B. Jankunas of Phoenix, AZ.; her grandson Blake Jankunas; and also Erika Maxwell.

I remember you as a tall happy person but always as Carol Ann My mom said the S&S club all loved you as the first baby born to that group that stayed together for so many years.... your mom was a member....mine too. “To Miss Jankunas's family and friends, May your memories sustain you as you grieve her passing. I am saying Miss Jankunas, that is how I remember my Fourth Grade teacher at Fonda-Fultonville Elementary School. I remember so many things about that year. She taught us how to sing "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". We painted a mural of which included a horse that one friend added her hair to...for a real look. She didn't get upset with us. I also remember her showing us slides of Maine.”
