It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis Egland of Florence, Colorado, born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, who passed away on October 20, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her birth mother Winifred Richards Quirk (Whitaker); her adoptive parents, Lloyd Ludwig and Leona Ludwig; her husband David A. Egland; her brothers, Garry Lee Whitaker and Roger Ludwig; and her grandchildren, Matthew Cook and Leona Cook.
She is survived by: her children, Winifred, Garry Lee Whitaker, Tina Cook and Christine Egland; her son-in-law Lee Cook; her grandsons, Joel Cook, Kevin Cook, Nathan Cook, Daniel Cook and Kyle Clasby (Tara Slasky); and her great grandchildren, Erik Cook and Scarlett Clasby. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
