He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Bornhoft and Lizzie Bornhoft (Hundepohl); his parents-in-law, Lawrence and Ella Schaefer; his siblings, Esther Schaefer (Frank), Romoulda Bornhoft, Mary Wernsman (Dick), Hank Bornhoft, Paul Bornhoft (Darlene) and Norbert Bornhoft (Georgian); and his brothers-in-law, Dale Pyle and Jim Boerner.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Schaefer; his children, Becky Bornhoft (Jim Smoot), Sally Rigel (Rick), Gloria Bornhoft Bergner, Lisa Meyette (Chris), Tommy Bornhoft (Sheri), Marty Bornhoft (Cheri) and Dianne Rensink (Rob); his siblings, Leonard Bornhoft (Frieda), Corky Bornhoft (Trilla) and Frances Boerner; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Beth Pyle, Larry Schaefer (Joyce), Dick Schaefer (Lyn) and Killian Schaefer (Iva). He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
