He was predeceased by: his parents, Ace Monk and Annie Monk; and his brothers, L. B. and Curtis Monk. He is survived by: his wife Alma Reed Monk; his daughters, Roycee Kerr (Kevin) and Roxanna Guyton (Rick); his grandchildren, Kason Kerr (Sarah), Kolby Kerr (Emily), Kassidy Birdsong (Derek) and Kimberly Chernosky (Matt); and his great grandchildren, Kyndall, Beckett, Samuel, Kirby, Dawson, Cecilia, Kaleb and Graham.
A burial will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at the Dallas-Ft. Worth National Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the FiberMax Center.
The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to your local food bank or hospice organization.
