He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Cyril Wildes (Cy) and Engelina Wildes (Angie); his wife Sharon Faraday; his children, Teri Wildes-Gustin (Scott), Traci Sherpa (Mingmar), Landon Wildes and Mariah Wildes; his siblings, Gail Ann Roat, Dick Wildes (Sandy) and Chuck Wildes (Gay); and his grandsons, C. J. Sherpa and Caden Sherpa. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
