He is survived by: his children, Regina Liscano (Ray), Eugene Rundquist, Benjamin Rivera Jr. (LoriAnne Ramos), Robert Rivera (Emily Torrez) and Mercy Rivera-Birdwell (Jay Birdwell); and his siblings, Rosalie Martinez, Shirley Salazar (Pedro), Richard Rivera, Arlene Baldez (Art), Adela Hernandez (Freddie) and Roberta Rivera (Jesus Flores). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
