He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Chalender and Sally Chalender; his brother Bob Chalender; his stepbrother Larry Rader; his sisters-in-law, Jane Wingert and Christine Chalender; and his granddaughter Sara Katherine Thamert.
He is survived by: his spouse Katherine Wingert (Kay); his daughter Betsy Thamert; his husband Andy; his grandchildren, Ryan of Estes Park and Grace of Estes Park; and his brothers-in-law, George Wingert, Dwight Wingert (Kathy) of Wichita, KS and Eugene Wingert (Kay) of Lenexa, KS.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and close friends.
