He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances McCarty and V. M. McCarty; and his siblings, Clifford McCarty (Marilyn), Paul McCarty, Patrick McCarty, Pat Starman (Raymond), Daniel, Donald McCarty, Charlotte Meyer (Delmar), Ruth Adams (Richard) and Janice Benz (James).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Kay McCarty; his children, Debbie Davies (Dusty), Kathy Lewis (Troy), Dan McCarty (Amy), Cindy Grubenhoff (Joe) and Jennifer Knievel (Jason); his grandchildren, Kristi Bush (Ben), Emily Brown (Kelton), Melissa Davies, Abby Shartzer (Alex), Lauren Lewis, Caitlyn McCarty, Bradyn McCarty, Jess Grubenhoff, Chex Grubenhoff and Eli Knievel; his great grandchild Eloise Brown; his sisters, Rosemary Salber, Yvonne Kopp and Marilyn Newman; and his sister-in-law Marla McCarty. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
