He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskell Mitchell and Myra Blanks Mitchell; and his sister Jean Cunningham. He is survived by: his wife Deanna; his son Clay; his siblings, Linda Shadel and Paul Mitchell; and his sister-in-law Pamela McCasland. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and other extended family.
