He was predeceased by: his mother Hilda Buhr Zimmerman; his granddaughter Brylee Beauchamp; and his nephew Nathan Jurgens. He is survived by: his children, Tara Beauchamp (Keifor) of Fowler, Colorado and Adam Brunner (Kristy) of Beatrice; his grandchildren, Kinlee and Lane; his father Arnold Zimmerman of Beatrice; his brother Larry Zimmerman; his friend Cathy Rakes of Blue Springs; his sisters, Connie Jurgens (Bruce) of Adams, Nancy Reedy (Melvin) of Holmesville and Betty Johnson of Hickman; and also Terri. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the family's choice.
