He is survived by: his wife Candace (Riden); his child Madilyn; his mother Velia Cervantes of Lakewood; his brothers, Castle Rock, Juan (Mary) and Josh (Jenny); his niece Lily; his nephews, Michael and Connor; his parents-in-law, Mike McCleary, Donna McCleary and Estes Park; his sister-in-law Brandi Frank (Zach) of Brighton; his father Joel Cervantes; and his child Jonah.
Joel was laid to rest at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver with full military honors Nov. 5 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at US Bank, where an account has been established in the name "Cervantes Family Memorial.".
