He was predeceased by: his wife Jeanette; his son Johnny; and his brother Lyle Miller. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Miller and Sandra; his siblings, Florence Helzer, Evans, Darlene Honstein (Bill) and Harvey (Susie); his daughter-in-law Wendy Miller; his grandchildren, Justin Felker (Lindsey), Chelsea Gust, Allie Hobbs, Justin Joseph Greeley (Maggie Essig), Jake Joseph (Shannon), Carrie Miller, Fort Collins, Audrey Clary (Darin), Eaton Mahaffy and Brandie Mahaffy (Tim); and his great grandchildren, Hudson, John, Katherine, Gunnar, Sophie and Luke. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
