Roy Nix wrote a sympathy message

“Joyce and I are saddened by Raymond's passing. He was a member of a good family. Ray was a classmate at Galeton school. Ray was a fun-loving guy and a good friend. He was a superb athlete, excelling in football and basketball, being the center on the 1961 state champion basketball team. Ray was just a good all-around fellow. There were 16 members of Ray's class at Galeton, and sadly he is the 4th to pass. Our condolences to Ray's family. Gerald and Joyce Nix”
