She was predeceased by: her parents, Asamatsu Yamada and Kiso Yamada (Tanaka); her husband Charles Hanji Takahashi; and her siblings, Harry Yamada, Asako Morinaka and Margaret Miyasaki.
She is survived by: her children, Janelle, Colleen Takahashi of Eaton, Gary Takahashi (Julie) of Dayton, Ohio and Bruce Takahashi (Joy) of Glendale, Arizona; her granddaughters, Grace and Camlyn Takahashi; and also Irene Tomoi of San Diego. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
