He was predeceased by: his parents, George Vernon Lytle and Lola Lytle (Williams); his wife Mary Jean Lytle (Calvert); his granddaughter Jenny Lytle; and his sisters, Nettie, Ruby, Vera, Wanda, Thelma, Greta and Betty.
He is survived by: his children, John Lytle (Debbie) of Durango, CO, Lee Lytle of Durango, CO and Jean Ellis of Ignacio, CO. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
