It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Salliejane Dickerson Rainey of Durango, Colorado, born in Conway, Arkansas, who passed away on February 6, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Douglass and Bertha Louise Beverly Dickerson; her husband Roy D. Rainey, Sr.; and her siblings, George Douglass Dickerson III, Gladyse Louise Meikle-Neelley, Beverly Dickerson Buendtner and Donna Susan DeGeorge.
She is survived by: her sons, Roy D. Rainey, Jr. (Sheryl) of Little Rock, AR and Russell D. Rainey (Cheryl) of Durango, CO.; her grandchildren, Brittany Rainey Thornton (Kelly) of Durango, CO, Mary Katherine Rainey (Liam Hill) of Little Rock, AR, Joshua D. Rainey (Katharina) of Schruns, Roy D. Rainey III of Los Angeles, CA and Elizabeth Rainey Casteel (Sean) of Maumelle, AR.; her great grandchildren, Cole, Turner Thornton of Durango, CO, Evelyn, Louisa, Henry Rainey of Schruns and Calvin Casteel of Maumelle, AR.; and her sister-in-law Donna Dickerson of Conway, AR.. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
