Hannah C. Wacasey Obituary
Beautiful Human, Hannah Wacasey of Durango, Co passed away on June 29, 2024, at the age of 27.
Hannah was an artist, who spent her free time creating art and expressing her individuality. She enjoyed cooking with friends, museum trips, river days and visiting dog parks with her best-boy, Soot. She loved sunflowers, belly laughs, hugs, music & podcasts, her family and her friends.
Hannah was a radiant light, who shared her kindness and compassion with others during their dark days. She was familiar with depression and mental illness and could recognize it in others; she would acknowledge its presence by letting people know she was a Safe Person, willing to hold space for heavy feelings. Her legacy is kindness.
Hannah was a registered donor, and it is her family's hope that those who received her final gifts will live full lives and will know peace - that they will know that her gifts were given by her with immeasurable love.
Hannah is survived by her parents, Kent and Lydia Wacasey, sister Sera Wacasey and brother-in-law James Wilberg, Grandparents: Freddie and Marsha McAnear, Laurren and Mary Edwards, Billy and Carol Balke, so many loving family members and dear friends.
Cremation is scheduled for July 10, 2024, at Williams Funeral Home & JWN Crematory, in Durango, Co. A celebration and remembrance of life will be held at a later date.
