He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ervin Delany and Ora Ethel Hudgens Briggs; his father-in-law Albert Metz; his wife Berna Deane; and his children, Nila Stearns (Russell) of Bakersfield, Donald Briggs (Sandrina) of Riga, Latvia and Jason Briggs (Suzanne) of Colorado Springs. He was also cherished by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
