She was predeceased by: her parents, Florence LaFave and Leo LaFave; and her sister Colleen O'Hara. She is survived by: her husband Mike McGuire; her sons, Jim Fleming (Jodi), Paul Fleming (Stephanie), John Fleming and Michael Fleming (Sharon); her stepchildren, Dr. Tamara McGuire and Dan McGuire (Liz); her grandchildren, Brandon Fleming (Megan), Emily Klinger (Riccardo), Carmen Fleming, Elliott Gatewood and Oliver Gatewood; her great grandchild Nolan Fleming; her sister Joanne Jones-Russell; her siblings-in-law, Pat Cunningham and Mike O'Hara; and her pets, Murphy and Lily. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Rotary International or the Disabled American Veterans in Carol's memory.
