Though Kurt may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Kurt touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Fritz Metzl and Margit Metzl; his wife Marilyn Newman Metzl; his sons, Jonathan, Jordan, Jamie and Joshua Metzl; his daughter-in-law Ali Fidler Metzl; and his granddaughters, Anna and Clara Metzl.

A graveside service was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 806 Ed6, Avon, CO 81620.

“I never met Mr. Metzl, but have crossed paths with his wife Marilyn, & sons Jordan & Jamie. I know Jordan the most of the family through my “former running days”, and always enjoyed seeing posits on social media (I cancelled my platforms after hacks & etc., but prior to canceling them I saw posts). The enthusiasm of the Metzl’s is infectious. I hope the days ahead get easier for y’all, and you continue to rehash the funny things Mr. Metzl did in his life. I’m know there were many laughs.”
