Edwin Mason Herst, age 73, of Sycamore, IL, passed away on March 18, 2024, in Denver, CO. He was born on August 15, 1950, in Sycamore, IL.

Edwin, known for his dedication and service, proudly served in the Army. His commitment and valor were evident in all aspects of his life.

In his professional life, Edwin excelled in the field of BioMedical engineer. His passion and expertise left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of working with him.

Outside of work, Edwin found joy in collecting wood samples and engaging in macroscopic wood identification. Wood turning was a craft he mastered, showcasing his creativity and skill.

Edwin is survived by his wife, Kelly Herst, daughters Caitlyn Herst, Brittany Ngo, and Meghan Bryer, son Brandon Herst, and brothers Tom Herst, and John Herst.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Freda, and father, Harry.
