He is survived by: his cousins, Mack, Larry and Gene; his wife Kay; his brothers, Bill Sickels (Deb) of Mount Ayr and Jack Sickels (Reta) of Creston; his sister-in-law Nancy Daughton of Kellerton; his children, Mike Sickels (Vicki) of Ankeny, Rich Sickels of Apache Junction, AZ and Lori Friedman (Randy) of San Carlos, CA; and his grandchildren, Adam Sickels, Taylor Welch, Anna Friedman and Lee James "LJ" Friedman. He is also survived by other relatives including cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Armstrong Funeral Home (205 W Monroe St, Mt Ayr, IA 50854). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
