She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Christian B Whipple and Estherlyn Whipple (Harlan); her husbands, Richard Nelson and Jack B Zembower; her sons, Richard and Darrell Nelson; her grandson Darrell V. Nelson; and her siblings, James Whipple (Jimmy), Harlan Whipple, Florence Wilson (Whipple), Phyllis Fox (Whipple) and Evelyn Hart (Whipple).
She is survived by: her daughters, Ramona J Nelson of Denver, CO, Jacqueline Schutte (Stephen) of Castle Rock, CO and Lynda Clark (Zembower) of Lawton, OK. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces & nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Saint John's Cathedral , Denver Indian Health and Family Services, Lakota Way Healing Center or Four Winds American Indian Council.
