Adam Ray LePore Jr. Obituary

Adam Ray LePore Jr. May 16, 1945-February 21, 2023. It is with profound sadness and great sorrow that we announce the passing of our wonderful and amazing father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, partner, and friend. Adam "Ray" Jr. was born in Longmont, Colorado to Adam Ray LePore Sr. and Alys Mc Neill LePore. He grew up in Firestone, Colorado with his younger brother Gerald Lee LePore. While attending college in Lamar, CO he met and married Dorothy. They had four children, Dana, Adam III, Melinda, and Joseph.

He had 9 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren whom he loved and cherished. Ray attended Lamar college for Elementary Education. Ray's passion was the love of cooking, he took over as the owner/operator of LePore's Restaurant in Firestone, Colorado which was started in 1913 by his grandmother Julia LePore. He ran a successful family business for years. After retirement he continued his passion for cooking and on occasion he would cater banquets, birthday parties, weddings and anniversary. Ray loved to travel all over the Caribbean, Hawaii, Mexico and his beloved mountains in Colorado.

He loved gardening and always had to have the nicest, well-manicured, yard in the neighborhood. Ray loved music and dancing, he would hum and dance at home, parties, ballrooms and was fond of polka dancing at weddings. When friends came to visit him at his home, you never left hungry and If you did, he would tell you it was your own fault! He had a huge and generous heart with a sense of humor that made you feel welcomed loved and he always had a smile on his face and loved to make you laugh. Over the years his grandchildren and great grandchildren were his pride and joy.

He enjoyed seeing and hearing from them, especially if they wanted him to make their favorite dish or a recipe for something he cooked. He was always just a phone call away if anyone needed him. Ray also enjoyed gardening and canning, he loved traveling, he enjoyed going to the mountains the most with his partner and grandchildren to fish and relax. He is survived by his partner Jimmy Parnell, children, Dana Struck, Adam R LePore III (Tracie), Melinda Knaus-Sardella (Richard). Grandchildren, Andrew, Adam IV, Jacqueline, Courtney, Joseph P, Timothy, Danielle, and Nicole.

His great grandchildren, Tristin, Sage, Andrew, Charlotte, Lilyanna, Isabella and Lily. Nephew Cory LePore and Niece Corina Rakes. He was preceeded in death by his parents, brother Gerald Lee LePore, his son Joseph Daniel LePore, his grandson Christopher David and his great grandchildren Dominic and Lilianna LePore.
