He was predeceased by: his parents, James Wayne and Doris Carpenter; his grandparents, Carpenters and Surrozs; his uncle Ernest Surroz; his aunt Josie Minerich; and his pet Toby.
He is survived by: his wife Gladys Carpenter (Pagone); his son Carl Carpenter (Latha); and his grandchildren, Kegan and Kyle. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
