He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilio Abeyta and Adelia Abeyta; and his siblings, Joe, Jimmy, Annie, Lena, Delphine, Josie, Mary, Roseanna, Teresa and Jennie.
He is survived by: his former wife Margaret Armendariz; his wife Margie; his brother Emilio (Helen) of Utah; and his children, Earl (Carmen), Ernie (Cheryl) of Grand Junction, Daniel (Carol) of Delta, Julie (Fidel) of Denver, Ricky and Thomas. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
