He was predeceased by: his parents, Nobuko Tanabe and Frank Tanabe; and his brother Harry Tanabe. He is survived by: his wife Myrna Tanabe; his children, Kevin Tanabe (Amy), Larry Tanabe, Suzan Tanabe and Steven Tanabe (Jazzi); his grandchildren, Abbie Tanabe (Bo Karney) and Raelei Tanabe; and his sisters, Miyeko Kano and Kimiko Catlin. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and many friends.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in his name to Arkansas Valley Hospice.
