He was predeceased by: his parents, Murble Matthews and Monnie Matthews; his siblings, Clyde, Ed and Helen Doris "Lyn" Griffin; and his grandson TJ Van Hauen.
He is survived by: his wife Edna L. Marksberry (Marksberry); his children, Sheree Van Hauen (Lance), Terri (Spanky), Patrick Matthews (Tamie) and Diane Ramsay (Michael); and his grandchildren, Joshua Matthews-Patton (Victoria), Catelin Matthews, Michael Kibel (Amy), Mitch Kibel (Sarah), Matthew Kibel (Amanda), Tyrel Matthews (Jennifer), Rusti Ramsay, Gabriel Ramsay (Sarah), Kade Ramsay, Tallon Ramsay and Raif Ramsay. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 19th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Bellwood Ustick Funeral Home (305 N 8th St, Rocky Ford, CO 81067).
