He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Virgil Wade and Mabel Catlin Zumwalt; his spouse August; his children, Kurt Wade Zumwalt, Kristin Zumwalt Woolery and Gretchen Zumwalt Smith (Douglas Smith); his grandchildren, Patricia Wade Zumwalt DeBolt (Nick, Philip Catlin), Colin Horn Kennedy and Benjamin Joseph Woolery; his great grandchildren, Benson Zumwalt Woolery, Onyx Horn Kennedy, Salem Don Kennedy, Baker Wade DeBolt and Lincoln Philip DeBolt; his granddaughter Patti (Nick); and his close friend Robert G. White (Bob).
