He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Schalnus and Mollie Schalnus (Foos); his wife Pat; his siblings, Jim and Arlene; and his son-in-law Cary Lewis.
He is survived by: his children, Shanna Lewis (Walt Church), Joe Schalnus (Kristi) and Katie Miller (Mike); his grandchildren, Taylore, Kayla, Jett, Cora, Emma, Abigail, Waylon and Erin; and his siblings, Jerry Schalnus, Marilyn Butterbaugh, Ruth Wince (Toots) and Carol Bittle.
