Velma Viola Kingery Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Viola Kingery of Cortez, Colorado, who passed away on May 9, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Clarkston Johns and Viola Johns (Keisling); and her husband William Kingery (Bill). She is survived by: her sister Daisy Mahaffey; and her sons, Donald Kingery (Glenda) and Robert Kingery (Sharon). She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She also spent many hours making beautiful quilts that she gave to her family, friends and donated to the VA hospital as a member of the DAR - Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoyed her association with others at their regular meetings.
