He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Jowell and Connie Lee Jowell (Scott); his son Frank Jowell; and his siblings, Jack Jowell, Paul Jowell, Clara Ann Jowell and David Jowell.
He is survived by: his wife Verna A. Jowell; his sons, Ray Ferrier (Gina Caravetta) of Arizona and Eric Jowell of Dolores, Colo.; and his brothers, James "Jim" Jowell (Annette) of Arizona and Stephen Jowell (Bobbie) of Washington.
