He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Johnston and Julia Johnston; and his wife Pauline Johnston. He is survived by: his children, Marcia Johnston-Walden (Steve) of Golden, Donn Johnston (Vivianne) of Westminster, Mary Beth Acott (Kirk) of Cortez and Ann Valdez (Manny) of Cortez, Colorado; his grandchildren, Amy Johnston, Preston Johnston, Cole Acott and Taggart Valdez; and his stepgrandchildren, Aeron Clason (Sean), Kayla Acott (Uriah Hubbard) and Tell Acott.
