He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Bonds (Hendricks) and Edward Bonds; and his brother Wesley Bonds. He is survived by: his wife Elaine (Baer) of Cortez, CO; his children, Kristi Murphy (Bill) of Charlotte, NC and Tracy Bonds (Brenda) of Trumbull, CT; his grandchild Charelle Bonds of Sturgis, SD; his children, Amber Rich of Brookfield, CT, Brian Bonds of Denver, CO, Sarah Bonds of Denver, CO, Bree Farfan (Juan) of Newtown, CT and Billi Biggs (Donovan) of Indian Land, SC; his great grandchildren, Riley, Lily and Joey Rich of Brookfield, CT; his grandchildren, Liam and Benji Biggs of Indian Land, SC.; and his brothers, Donald (Jan) of Evergreen, CO and Gerald of Farmington, NM.
He devoted over 50 years of his life to Masonic Lodge No. 133 A.F. & A.M. Ed's contributions to the lodge and his commitment to its values touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on his community.
