He was predeceased by: his wife Joann Martinez; and his children, Lupe Banuelos and Jacobo Martinez III. He is survived by: his children, Eric Martinez and Stella Lucero; his brother Edward Martinez; his children-in-law, Louis Lucero, Samuel Banuelos and Andrea Martinez; his grandchildren, Maria Barraza (Eddie), Angelo Martinez, Lillian Medina (Mario), Ernesto Martinez, Sonya Banuelos, Alyssa Banuelos, Eric Martinez, Randy Martinez, Alexis Martinez and Jacob Martinez IV; and his great grandchildren, Krystal, Mario, Emmy, Raymond, Manuel, Julian, Anastasia, Armani, Cassandra, Hannah and Kalani.
