She was predeceased by: her husband Sam Tapia Dean; her parents, Juan Ortega and Florinda Ortega; her daughter Mary Florence Vigil; and her siblings, Pablo Ortega, Rebecca Aerts, Joe Ortega, Evelyn Ortega and Joanne Gallegos.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Vigil, Randy Vigil (Gloria Duran), Sammy Alexander Dean III (Starla Evey), Abigail Pfeiffer (Alfred Pfeiffer) and Kenneth Dean; and her sisters, Mary Sena and Sylvia Archuleta. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
