He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Gamez and Emma Gamez (Strong); and his siblings, Bernice Bernal (Gamez), Betty Ruiz (Gamez), Robert Gamez and Dale Gamez.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Gamez (Archuleta); his children, Larry Gamez, Kirk Gamez (Stephanie Gamez), Leslie Gamez (Steven McCauley) and Melissa McElhaney (Gamez); and his grandchildren, James Gamez, Cassie Gamez, Kaleb Gamez and Josh Stewart. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
