“I last saw my cousin Warren in person in September 2015 when he visited me in Germany for my 80th birthday. We had some nice days. Whenever I visited my brother Bernd Gerlach and family in NY, Warren from Colorado Springs also joined us. As traveling became more difficult with age, we talked more often on the phone. At the 2009 DEC Reunion I joined him at a table and we held hands most of the evening as he told me about Bess and how much he missed her since her passing in October 2008.
