She was predeceased by: her husband Martin; her parents, Dorothy Powell and James Brown; and her brothers, Gary Powell and Lawrence Brown.
She is survived by: her daughters, Precious and Makeda Hobson; her siblings, Antoinette Powell, Orakarooshia Ott, Waneshia Elmore, Gregory Powell, James Jr., Allen Brown, Anthony Brown, Jason Olivio, Philip Poole and Bryant Powell; her brother-in-law Kirk Smith (Austin Elmore); and her granddaughter Raziyah Lewis.
