He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ray Drebes and El Drebes; his significant other Patti McLeod; his grandchildren, Blake of Colorado Springs, Alayna of Colorado Springs, Brixton of Colorado Springs, Amiliana of Colorado Springs and Adrian Drebes of Colorado Springs; his siblings, Liz Shields of Flowery Branch, GA, Barb Drebes of Omaha, NE and Doug Drebes of Villa Park, IL; his sister-in-law Jackie McLeod; and his parents-in-law, Robert and Shirley McLeod of Colorado Springs. He was also cherished by six nieces.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests making a donation to the Scott Drebes Speed Skating Scholarship Fund for speed skaters trying to move up in the sport.
