He was predeceased by: his parents, Allison Day and Polly Day (Vernil); and his wife Helen. He is survived by: his children, Allison Day, Will Day (Debb) and Diana Williams (Dave); and his siblings, Lloyd Day, Helen Gerlock and Luella Franks. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
