Micah Steven Schnayerson, beloved husband, father, son, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2024, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born on August 17, 1995, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Tammie Emery.
Micah is survived by his father, Steven Schnayerson; mother, Tammie Emery; brother, Steel Schnayerson; wife, Mckenzey Thompson; son, Brecken Schnayerson; father-in-law, Mark Thompson; mother-in-law, Fran Thompson; brother-in-law, Grant Thompson; sister-in-law, Christin Thompson Lorenz; brother-in-law, Luke Lorenz; and their children, Lemon Belle and Maverick.
Micah attended Lewis Palmer High School in Monument, Colorado, and took classes at Pikes Peak State College before joining the United States Marines as a Technical Engineer. Known for his intelligence, independence, and sincere compassion, Micah was dedicated to helping others. His reliability and respect for everyone he met were evident in all aspects of his life. A passionate woodworker, he crafted special wooden toys for his son, Brecken, and enjoyed playing the guitar. Micah was deeply committed to bodybuilding, reflecting his strength and endurance.
Micah's love for the Marines was profound, embodying dedication, discipline, and a warrior spirit. He took immense pride in his service and the sacrifices he made for his country.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 9:00AM on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910, with a lunch following the service until 12:15PM. Micah will be laid to rest at 1:00PM at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925, with Military Honors.
