It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Helen Coca Sandoval of Colorado Springs, Colorado, who passed away on December 30, 2024, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicolas Coca Sr. and Tomasita Martinez Coca. She is survived by: her husband Atanacio Sandoval; her in-laws, Daniel and Lydia Sandoval; her great grandchild Angelo Sandoval; her siblings, Margeret Downs, Micheal Coca and Cirilia Coca (Jenny Coca); her son Derrick Deaguero; her sisters-in-law, Louisa Coca, Sophie Coca and Julia Gomez (Eddie Gomez); her nephews, Lawrence Gomez and Eddie Gomez Jr.; her niece Miranda Coca; her sister-in-law Joyce Garduño; her daughters, Tina, Pamela Sandoval (Josephine Sandoval) and Lydia Deaguero; her grandchildren, Sabrina Garcia, Selena Morton (Tristan), Jeron Martinez, Koleen Sandoval, Frankie Gomez (Daniela), Nicole Gomez, Jacob Gomez, John Hartwick (Andrea), Jazmyne Hartwick (Dom), Marie Elena Ariel'Sandoval, Antonio Sandoval, Josiah Medina and Jonah Medina; her great grandchildren, Alencia Gallegos, Gabriel Garcia, Adilina Deaguero, Rayna Mcgee, Layla Mcgee, Aliyah Mcgee, Xzavier Mcgee, Tina Mcgee, Andrew Mcgee, Ambroze Gomez, Casiaz Gomez, Slyvia Gomez, Santino Gomez and Nathaniel Jr. Lujan; her brothers, Jerry Coca, Joe Coca, Salvador Coca (Inez), John Coca (Connie), Nick Coca (Mae Coca), Pete Coca (Christine) and Benny Coca; and her siblings-in-law, Josephine Leger and Daniel Sandoval.
Viewing was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Rogers Mortuary (600 Raynolds Ave, Las Vegas, NM 87701). A rosary was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Church (403 Valencia St, Las Vegas, NM 87701). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location.
