She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Pierson and Doris Pierson (David Ferreira); her sister-in-law Yvonne Pierson; and her uncle Gene Hofbauer. She is survived by: her husband David Ferreira; her friend Kim Colatriano; her brothers, Michael Pierson and Edward Pierson (Tamika); her nephew Samuel; and her aunt Elsie Hofbauer.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Karen's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Pikes Peak Region.
